In 2003 Intuit purchased Gordon Whitten’s company, Income Dynamics, and its product “ItsDeductible” software. Intuit is a Fortune 500 financial software company that develops and sells financial, accounting, and tax preparation software to small businesses, accountants, and individuals.
The company brought Gordon on-board to spur entrepreneurship and business development. Gordon first led the integration of ItsDeductible with TurboTax. He then spent his focus on new product innovation, resulting in the securement of multiple patents for technology innovation and the launch of several new product offerings used by millions of consumers. Gordon was promoted to Vice-President of Focused Business Initiatives, where he led the development of TurboTax®, QuickBooks® and Quicken®. He relaunched TurboTax Home and Business, substantially increasing revenues and then received the coveted CEO’s Leadership Award in 2007 before his departure.
